Vintage Suspicion

Ever have a day where you want to pull out your mom's old skirt and shorten it because it would be cute? Well maybe that's just me, but I think vintage clothing is just so classy. Women years ago would never leave their house in their pajamas. Some times I will be in public and see someone and think "Did they just crawl out of bed?". I just wish that women these days would care about what they looked like. Actually take the time to  look nice. I feel like when you look nice, YOU feel more comfortable in your self-confidence.

I was in Little Five Points, Atlanta, Georgia and met the lady that is above wearing black. She hand makes these hats (left above) and sells them at her store, Stefan's Vintage Clothing. The store is full of vintage clothing; from bright pink polka-dotted skirts to fur coats.
Here is the information from their "About Us" section:

"Established in 1977, Stefan's is the oldest vintage clothing store in Atlanta.  We                                stock clothing made in the 1900s through the 1970s.  Carrying both men's and women's clothing and accessories, we offer a well organized and immaculate collection of fashion attire.

Expect to see 20's and 30's evening gowns, men's and women's suits from the 40's, 50's and 60's, bowling shirts, tuxedos, costume jewelry, and cufflinks.  You will see everything from hats

to bell bottoms, beaded sweaters to bathing suits, bow ties to ball-gowns and 70's jackets to dashikis.

Those who shop at Stefan's compare it to a vintage department store, both in our selections and our merchandising of bright and attractive apparel.
Who could have shopped here?  James Dean, James Brown, Cary Grant, young Elvis, Joan Crawford, Twiggy, Carol Lombard and Donna Reed.

Who does shop here?  Some of Atlanta's best dressed, in addition to a few super models, some of Billboard's top recording artists, one recent Oscar winner, one Pulitzer prize winner

and our mothers.
We have a knowledgeable sales staff, are animal friendly and still believe in customer service. We will help you choose a place to eat lunch, let you browse through our fashion books and call

a cab for you when you are ready to return to your comfortable hotel.

Please visit us in Little Five Points, and make us a place to come back to when you next visit Atlanta. We are in the heart of L5P on the park where Moreland meets Euclid.  We are glad to
ship your items home for you."

There store is pretty snazzy, so if you're ever in Little Five Points make sure to go by and check it out.  But basically all I wanted today was just to make a point to say that I feel like women should take more effort into looking nice. And to tell you all how much I enjoyed that store lol. And I haven't blogged in a week. Sorry reader, things have been a little hectic around here but I will get back to my blogging routine this week!

If you haven't followed me yet. You can follow me on either blogspot or bloglovin'.com.
Thanks xoxo...A, Archambault
