A Fabulous Fashion Fanatic!

Sabrina from Jardin De La Mode is a fashion blogger from Amsterdam that claims the "runway is her world".
She is my guest appearance for the week; and I know you will love reading our interview. It's always great to get to know other fashion bloggers like the rest of us trying to make a difference in the way we are viewed.
Make sure to stop by her blog and read her magnificent post!
Amanda: What does fashion mean to you?
Sabrina: It means the world to me. It's really my passion and obsession. I think you can say a lot about a person only by what they wear and especially how they wear it. Without ever spoken to them. As I say, everyday's a fashion show and the world is my runway.

Amanda: I love how you said "the world is my runway". That's how style should be perceived! How would you describe your personal style?
SabrinaHmm this is quite a difficult question because I don't have one particular style, I just wear everything I like. Not because other people like them -or because it's a trend- but 'cause I like them. And the outfits I currently wear have a rockish touch, but I always try to keep it as feminine as possible.

Amanda: What does your style say about you?
SabrinaI think it says a lot about me. In what for mood I am and how confident I am.

Amanda: Who are some of your favorite designers?
SabrinaI'm a real shoe freak and have a huge shoe collection, my favorite shoe designers at the moment are Jeffery Campbell and Sam Edelman. Currently I adore Swedish designers like Acne and Minimarkt. But I also like dutch designers such as Spijkers&Spijkers and Supertrash.

Amanda: I always love looking at shoes collections. One of these days you will have to post a picture of your shoes collection so we can all admire! Are there any trends that you love right now?
SabrinaI'm not a trend kind of girl, but I love those (faux) fur coats I see now a days a lot on the street. I think they're so classy and chic, and I just purchased one myself (a leopard one, I'm so in love with it!). I also like the Lita hype, I noticed among bloggers. I really need to have a pair of Lita's (especially that taupe colored ones caught my eye).

Amanda:   What are your favorite clothing stores/websites/catalogs?
SabrinaI think I purchased half of my closet online, on stores like Asos,Nasty Gal, Froufrou's, Net-A-Porter, Zara and H&M. The other half of my closet I purchased on the market, Primark, River Island and in vintage stores. I love to have a big variety in countries and stores where I buy my clothes.

Amanda: Where are you from?
SabrinaI am born and raised in Amsterdam. My mother is Moroccan and my father is Dutch, which makes me half Dutch half Moroccan.

Amanda: Wow, Amsterdam is a beautiful place! That would be a fun city to grow up in. There is lots of activities that to keep you busy. What are your favorite hobbies?
SabrinaI love to blog, of course! Besides blogging, I love to spend time with my friends and family. I like to do things like shopping, partying and going to the cinema. I also love to listen to music or design clothes (my mother is such a great seamstress so she can realize everything I put on paper. So handy!)

Amanda: My mother sews too. For a while, I have been teaching my self. Hopefully I will be able to have a line of my own too. But that takes lots of practice.
So could you describe yourself for us? What do you think about yourself and do you think people perceive you in the same way?
SabrinaI think I'm an easy going go-with-the-flow kind of girl. Who always speaks out her mind, sometimes a little bit to much. I often say before thinking, something I really need to work on. I'm also pretty impulsive, down-to-earth, social and a happy girl. Who enjoys her life and who tries never take things for granted.
A friend of mine once told me that she never got bored when she's with me. Such a great compliment, I'll never forget.

Amanda: It's always great to be able to just go with the flow. I feel like people who are more complicated, always are frustrated. So it's good to know that you're not. We could always use another happy smile in the world such as yourself!
So if you could meet one celebrity, who would that be?
SabrinaHaha, I really don't know! I'm not longing to meet any celebrites, I think that couldn't give any meaning to my life. Maybe a few male models.
I'm sorry really can't think of anyone at the moment.

Amanda: Don't we all want to meet male models? haha
What is your favorite quote?
Sabrina''You never get a second change to make a first impression.''

Amanda: I must say that is a great quote, and everyone should hear it.
Do you have any goals in life you would like to meet?
SabrinaOf course I have, but my number one goal is to be happy and enjoy each and every day as if it's my last. I know it sounds really cliche, but it's my priority. Besides that I love to to become a great doctor (I'm a freshman in medical school), and travel the world!

Sabrina has a fantastic fashion blog. Make sure you all stop by Jardin De La Mode and visit.
And I also want to say a quick thank you to Spiral Style for award me the Stylish Blogger Award!
